Sagamiko winter light show returns for special Sailor Moon collaboration

The annual Sagamiko Illumillion lighting event at Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest​ opened its doors to thousands of visitors waiting to be part of the winter show experience, as seen in Sagamihara on Saturday.

This year, the event was held in collaboration with Sailor Moon Eternal, a Japanese animated action-fantasy from 2021.

Thousands of visitors were able to enjoy the illuminated corridors and have their photos taken with characters from the famous series.

“I was impressed to see Sailor Moon here, which I used to watch with my sister when I was a child,” shared one visitor.

“Every year, we have many visitors, and this is one of the biggest illuminations in the Kanto area with 6 million bulbs. This time, the area going up the lift to the top of the mountain is illuminated with Sailor Moon Illumination, a collaborative effort,” explained Gimpei Kusuguchi from the Sales Division of the resort.

Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest is located just one hour from Tokyo. Its lighting even will run until April 3, 2022.
