SEABERG Traction Freight Elevator @ Macy*s, Green Acres Mall, Valley Stream, NY

800th VIDEO! Now this was a treat. Since I couldn't turn the fan off on the passenger, I went in here to find out if the elevator in this store was traction or not. Sure enough, it was not only traction, but a treasure original Seaberg from 1956! The only thing I see that wasn't original was the door motors, which, as you can tell by the Peelle controls, were installed at a later time. This has the old Seaberg black buttons, and a quiet and slow traction motor. The door controls are hard to figure out, as you have to hit the door stop button before you close the door. The rear door on 3 has problems locking, and I had to push it down to lock it. This thing may have it's downsides, but it's still an original Seaberg freight. Also, this is the first Seaberg freight elevator ever seen on YouTube! Also, since I didn't focus on the panel too much (this camera is NOT FIXED FOCUS, just takes a bit longer to focus than the W290), here are the floors this serves: Basement (Rear door) 1 (Front Door) 2 (Front/Rear Door) 3 (Front/Rear Door)
