Illuminated decorative lotus flowers transformed Krasnodar Park in Russia’s southern region into a festive wonderland as seen from drone footage captured on Friday.

According to local media, the decorations were installed for the first time last year and became very popular with locals.

In addition, this year, an illuminated sage was also re-installed in the park, along with thousands of purple light bulbs which create a special festive mood throughout the winter season.

The park, built by local billionaire businessman Sergei Galitsky, occupies an area of almost 23 hectares and includes more than 2.500 trees as well as a pond and waterfall fountain. It was opened in 2017.
