Watch the amazing transformation of this dog who was dumped in a parking lot

Jiminy Cricket was dumped in the parking lot of a humane society in rural Georgia, not far from Tallahassee, Florida. And he was with seven other sibling puppies. He was the worst off. He was almost dead. The lady that came to the humane society that morning thought that he was already dead. He weighed about three pounds. You could see every bone in his body. He was barely breathing and was filled with lots of worms and was covered in mange.

We took him in through the Leon County humane society, here in Leon County, which is about an hour from where he was dumped. And I picked him up the next day as a foster puppy. I didn’t know he was gonna make it at first because he was so bad off. But after a couple of weeks, he really started to thrive and, he became our pandemic puppy and we have kept him and love him.

I was never planning to have four dogs, but he really took to my two sons, who I adopted last year. And he also really, really bonded with my Yorkie rescue, who is about a year older than him. And so when he’d been with us for a couple of months, it was really, really clear that he had bonded with the whole family. And honestly, I just cannot imagine life without him. He totally completes our family and we just love him.
