Siberian City Buried: Norilsk Hit By Two Months of Snow in Just Five Days

For the past week, residents of Norilsk have been waking up to more and more snow.

The city in Northern Siberia has been battered by snow storms for days on end, with winds reaching 100kmph.

Vehicles and roads are now completely buried with piles reaching head height in some places.

The snow has caused significant disruption to transport and the road to the airport is now closed.

Local authorities estimate they’ve removed 400,000 tons of snow from Norilsk over the past two months.

However, the residents haven’t been letting the huge piles of snow get them down.
