A Soyuz-2.1b rocket launched the Kosmos-2549 satellite from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia, on 2 February 2021, at 20:45 UTC (23:45 local time). According to official sources, Kosmos-2549 was delivered into the target orbit, a stable telemetric connection has been established and maintained with the satellite, the onboard systems are operating normally. The Kosmos-2549 satellite was launched in the interest of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
