A Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle launched the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on 5 October 2021, at 08:55 UTC (13:55 local time, 04:55 EDT, 11:55 MSK). The Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft, with Roscosmos cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov and spaceflight participants Yulia Peresild and Klim Shipenko, is scheduled for a two-orbit, three-and-a-half hours journey to dock to the International Space Station’s Rassvet module. Yulia Peresild and Klim Shipenko are scheduled to film the first movie in space.
