Spain: Mallorca studio offers free tattoos in exchange for charitable toy donations

Dozens of residents in Palma de Mallorca gathered outside a tattoo studio on Saturday as the parlour announced it will offer free tattoos in exchange for toys. These will then be donated to needy children for Christmas.

The customers lined up outside, many of them holding bags with toys that they planned on donating for the initiative.

Jessica, one of the local residents who stood in line, said that “this initiative to exchange a toy for a small tattoo seems to me a very important and very beautiful social action so that all children have the right to play this Christmas with a new toy.”

Marcos, one of the tattoo artists, said that “the idea is to collect toys for children in need this Christmas after these years of pandemic, because we have had this initiative to be able to help children as much as possible so that they can enjoy this Christmas.”

According to the studio, the initiative garnered much attention online and was successful in its goals.
