Family, friends, and others linked to Real Madrid arrived at the club’s premises in the Spanish capital on Tuesday to pay their respects at the mortuary chapel to late Real Madrid legend Francisco ‘Paco’ Gento.

Team members such as Marcelo and executives such as Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti and president Florentino Perez came to offer their condolences to the relatives of the former Spanish footballer at the chapel set up in the VIP box at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Other renowned former players such as Fernando Hierro, Butragueno, and Valdano were also present to greet Gento’s family.

Francisco ‘Paco’ Gento passed away on Tuesday at the age of 88. As a footballer, he played between 1953 and 1971 for Real Madrid, with which he won 23 official titles, including six European Cups, five of them consecutively.
