New York’s four-legged friends were the big stars on a Haloween event on Saturday, as they charmed locals with their costumes at the traditional Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade.
Dogs were wearing creative costumes, mostly related to the Netflix hit ‘Squid Game’, which was the theme of this year’s event.
“It is the cutest thing in the world and everyone - they are so creative. There are so many things I would have not thought of here, so honestly just to be here and dog-watch and people-watch, it is just great,” a visitor said.
Chihuahuas could be seen dressed as butterflies, as well as characters taken from Disney such as the horned fairy Maleficent. All worn with very much style and grace.
The traditional Halloween costume event returned and bigger than ever after the pandemic hiatus, now located at the East River Park to allow more locals to participate.
