Squid Game-inspired milkshake puts customers to the time test in English town

Customers have been taking on a Squid Game-inspired challenge in Oatcakes and Milkshake dessert shop where the team have developed a milkshake inspired by the hit Netflix show, in Stone near the English city of Stoke-on-Trent on Friday.

The creation was conceived by dessert shop owner Jay Felgate and local business Amy Baker’s cakes. So far it’s been a hit with lovers of the Netflix series who can partake in their very own Squid Game challenge.

Jay Felgate described the moment it all came together for him and the team. “It was just from watching the Squid Game and we thought wow, Halloween is coming up and we wanted to think of something that was just different. Something that would really get people excited.” Feldgate said.

The Halloween special allows customers to enjoy the milkshake for free if they can complete the challenge. Just like Episode 3 of Squid Game ‘The Man With the Umbrella’, the challenge involves cutting out an allocated shape from a piece of honeycomb, the now-famed South Korean-inspired Dalgona candy, within a two-minute time frame.

The special milkshake will be available until November 1.
