Squirrel becomes best friends with human after falling from roof

Tintin was no more than five weeks old when he fell from the roof of our building complex. His mother came down and took a quick look at him before returning to her other babies. Tintin had hit a branch on the way down and his chest was cut wide open. The wildlife services weren’t much help as they told me to leave him where I found him.

Instead, I took him to our local vet that cleaned his wound, but couldn’t patch him up as there was a big piece of skin missing from his chest. The vet didn’t give him much chance of survival and recommended me to put him down then in there. Obviously, I couldn’t do that either. So with the guidance of the vet, I took him home and cleaned his wound every fourth hour around the clock, as well as bottle fed him puppy milk.

When he was finally healed, it was time to release him back into the wild, however, Tintin refused to leave the garden area. Now Tintin enjoys his days in the garden, as well as the catio I’ve built for him, his brother Tiger and his newly arrived sister, Ms. Marble.
