State of Palestine: Palestinian protesters and Israeli forces clash after Friday prayers

Several Palestinians were injured after clashes with Israeli forces near the village of Beit Dajan, in the Nablus governorate in the West Bank, on Friday.

Hundreds of protesters, who had just left Friday prayers, joined the demonstration against the establishment of a settlement outpost in the village.

Protesters launched projectiles at Israeli forces and were met with tear gas canisters. Several injured demonstrators were taken to hospital.

For several weeks, the residents of Beit Dajan and surrounding villages have been holding weekly Friday rallies to protest the construction of the new settlement.
