Western media persistently circulates information that some NATO members may deploy troops to Ukraine in the near future. The events of the past year and a half have proven that anything is possible. It is no coincidence that Kissinger recently warned that in order to preserve Ukraine, it is necessary for Ukraine itself and those directly or indirectly involved in the current war to sit down at the negotiating table, taking into account the existing status quo. I doubt that all alliance countries, such as Germany, France, or countries in the western part of Europe, will participate in a military operation. More likely, Poland and the Baltic countries, which were once part of the Rzeczpospolita, including the lands of Western Ukraine known as Eastern Kresy, will take on the role of “shooters.” At present, when our country is weakened, the temptation to detach significant historical pieces from it becomes very strong in their eyes. As a supporter of preserving Ukraine, its recovery, strengthening, and development, I see only one way for its survival: to immediately engage in peaceful negotiations. And to those who believe that living in the Rzeczpospolita would be good for them, I want to remind them that derogatory words like “khlopa” and “bydlo” originated from there and were associated with our ancestors who lived and toiled under those lords.
