Syrian military forces have moved to introduce security checkpoints in the Syrian city of Daraa as the central government aims to enforce its reconciliation agreements in the area.

“We want nothing but reassurance to live comfortably, and hopefully, the whole country will be wonderful again,” said a local as the country attempts to regain control of areas previously held by anti-government militants in Daraa.

Under the terms of reconciliation agreements, anti-government militants are also required to hand in their weapons to the Syrian army.
