A teenager saved two people’s lives with a drone! Right, 18 year old Josh Logue from Colorado sent his hobby drone up in the air after a heavy rainstorm. He wanted a birds eye view of a nearby creek that had overflowed. But when Josh was nearing the creek, he saw a massive sinkhole in the road - with an SUV flipped over inside of it. He got his dad and a neighbor and they drove out to the location - finding two people in their 60’s trapped in the car, with water covering about halfway up the doors and still coming. Josh’s group called 911, who quickly came and rescued the people trapped and took them to the hospital. It wasn’t until afterwards that everyone realized just how lucky those people had been that Josh was flying his drone that day. Parts of the road the sinkhole had formed on were closed due to wet conditions and the bridge where it formed was mostly out of sight. Not only that but the hole was so deep, the flipped SUV wasn’t visible from the ground. Josh’s drone may have been the only way those people could have been found before it was too late. Josh reportedly has collected drones for a while and wants to become a professional drone pilot. And if that’s the case, he’d better be adding “Literally saved people’s lives” to his resume
