Footage shows the shocking moment a giant piece of cliff collapsed and crashed on to a beach in the Canary Islands.

A major emergency was declared on the island of La Gomera after the cliff collapsed just feet away from holiday caravans.

It’s feared that campers might be trapped under the rubble.

Rescue operations are underway and will continue overnight.
