Thailand: Bangkok welcomes visitors as country reopens to vaccinated tourists from over 60 nations

Visitors were seen arriving at Bangkok’s international airport, Monday, as Thailand reopens for COVID-vaccinated tourists from over 60 countries.
Tourists entering from one of the countries included in the ‘low risk’ list were the first to visit Thailand in over 18-months to not have to go through a mandatory hotel-quarantine.
“I feel great now that foreigners can enter the country, as I can make a living for my family and pay for food and many other items,” a local taxi driver working at the airport said.
Over 13 million tourists are expected to visit over the next year, bringing in a potential $30bn (€26bn).
