Floods filled residential areas with mud, flooding basements and first floors of buildings. There was a traffic jam on the roadways. The roads turned into rivers, making it difficult for cars to move and causing many accidents.
A particularly difficult situation has developed on the coast in the Gokchebey area of ​​the city of Zonguldak. Sea water covered the settlement, causing serious damage to urban infrastructure.
Minor floods have occurred in the Ayankik and Turkei areas. Meanwhile, the village of Babachay was evacuated by decision of the governor. Some of the villagers moved to safe areas with their relatives, and some were forced to move to temporary residences.
At the moment, a red warning is in effect in all northern regions of Turkey. Due to the weather threat, holidays have been announced in the regions. Authorities are urging residents to be extra vigilant and stay at home as much as possible.
