This dog was nearly put down for being 'ugly'

Maisy belonged to a family that was only interested in using her for breeding. Once they realized that she wasn’t able to get pregnant despite repeated attempts, they decided to have her put to sleep because according to them, she was so ugly.  Nobody would want her. And it was also too expensive for them to feed her. They kept her in an outdoor kennel with minimal human interaction. 

She was put out there as a puppy after she peed in the house once, which we all know can happen with puppies when they’re housebreaking. So, she pretty much spent the first three years of her lives in an outdoor kennel, neglected. And this dog continues to prove why bullies have souls that are bigger than anything that you can imagine. She was taken into a rescue and she was spayed a couple of days later, turns out that she had a severe pyometra infection and was about to go septic. 

So it’s very fortunate that she was spayed when she was. And I adopted her a week later and it is now going on four and a half years. Now, Maisy spends her time at home cuddling and playing with her fur family, and having long conversations with her human mom.
