'This is the price of reform' - Zelensky addresses UNGA on his aide's apparent assassination attempt

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky told the UN General Assembly, Wednesday, that the apparent assassination attempt of his top aide was the ‘price of reform’ in Ukraine.
“Last night is something that I would like to tell you about in greater detail. Three in the morning, I’m getting dozens of phone calls. The first aide to the president of Ukraine has been attacked. Twelve shots fired, three of those hit the driver. This is the price of changes in the country,” Zelensky said.
The president’s adviser’s survived the attack as his car was targeted by a volley of bullets in Kiev earlier on Wednesday.
Zelensky also asked the UN to condemn the Russian occupation of Crimea.

And I invite all those nations to join the declaration of the Crimean platform to condemn the occupation and to demonstrate that you are against changing borders by force in the world. And it’s not I’m not being ironic. I’m not trolling anyone. This format will always remain open for Russia.”

SOT, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian President: “I call on you to support updated resolutions regarding the situation around human rights in the occupied Crimea and the militarisation of our occupied peninsula.”
