Thousands Evacuated as Massive Floods Continue to Batter China

Over 725mm of rain has fallen in the region, bringing destruction to homes and infrastructure.
The Chinese Fire Department says 54 boats have been deployed to rescue almost 2,000 trapped people.
After weeks of intense flooding, nearly 300,000 people have been evacuated along the Yangtze River in eastern China.
According to local media, this has been the largest flood the area has recorded in decades.
