Festivalgoers lit thousands of lamps and candles as part of festivities for the Hindu festival of Dev Deepawali, at Sangam Beach, Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

Hundreds of people filled the beach and filled lamps with oil and set them alight. People also prepared traditional rangoli designs with flower petals and sand.

The Dev Deepawali festival falls on the full moon of the Hindu month of Kartika.
