The water pumping station in the village of Alekseevsky was completely covered with silt and debris due to a tornado. In addition, as a result of a sharp change in the riverbed, the main water conduit was destroyed, which provides drinking water to the residents of the villages of Soloniki and Volkonka.

The authorities have declared a state of emergency in the flooded areas. According to the mayor of Sochi, more than 1,000 specialists and 400 pieces of equipment are fighting the consequences of the disaster.
