‘Trump Leaves White House for Final Time Ahead of Biden’s Inauguration’

Donald Trump has left the White House - his home for four years - for the last time, flying out of Washington DC aboard Marine One with his wife, Melania, for a new life at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

The outgoing president published a farewell message during the final hours of his term, wishing the new administration luck, but stopping short of uttering his rival Joe Biden’s name.

Trump will not attend his successor’s inauguration ceremony, the first president to do so since 1869. His Vice President Mike Pence will be in attendance, having snubbed Trump’s invitation to a farewell event at joint base Andrews in Maryland.
