Fans arrived at the Dubai International Stadium to support their favourite cricket teams ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021 final on Sunday between Australia and New Zealand. Twenty20, often abbreviated to T20, is a form of cricket initially introduced in England and Wales for a professional competition.

“Well, I obviously think Australia is going to win. It’s been a long journey for us to get here, you know, probably a lot of people surprised we are here, I am not, you know, I always had faith,” stated an Australia team fan.

Both teams were seen warming up on the field while fans eagerly waited on the bleachers.
“Today, we are following New Zealand because we love the way they play cricket,” stated a ‘Kiwi’ supporter.

Australia defeated New Zealand by eight wickets, winning the maiden Twenty20 World Cup 2021 title.

SOT, Cricket fan: “Well, I obviously think Australia is going to win. It’s been a long journey for us to get here, you know, probably a lot of people surprised we are here, I am not, you know, I always had faith, I knew the guys would deliver when they needed to be, Wade did the other, three sixes in a row, wonderful. They perform very well, we are cricket lovers, and we support Australia, we think that David Warner will make the sixes which will go in the (inaudible) of New Zealand.”

SOT, Cricket fan: “Today we will have an exciting match, I think, because this is Australia versus New Zealand and today we are following New Zealand because we love the way they play cricket, how they came to this tournament so far. It’s a fantastic running for them and I’m sure they will win the trophy today.”

SOT, Cricket fan: “Today we have come to support New Zealand, this is the three times I’m seeing them in a world cup final, so I hope they make the third time lucky after losing the first two.”
