‘UEFA President SLAMS European Super League and Threatens Sanctions for Football Clubs Involved’

Football fans have condemned plans by 12 elite teams to create a ’European Super League’.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are among the 12 clubs.

Atletico Madrid and Milan rivals AC and Inter are also part of the plan.

Critics say the move is driven by profits, and is against the integrity of the sport.

The ESL said the founding clubs had agreed to establish a “new midweek competition”, with teams continuing to “compete in their respective national leagues”.

Critics say the new league is born out of greed, with UEFA announcing potential sanctions for those involved.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson also condemned the move.
