UK: Liverpool's Klopp 'not against' stopping Premier League as players test positive for COVID

Liverpool football club manager Jurgen Klopp discussed the cancellation of upcoming Premier League games due several players testing positive for COVID-19 recently, during a press conference in Liverpool, on Friday.

“I’m not against stopping the league, I just don’t see the 100 percent benefit of it. Between stopping the league and carrying on there are different levels which we can talk about,” said the Liverpool gaffer.

According to reports, nine league games have been called off in the space of five days so far, with some games this weekend being called off as well. Liverpool’s match with Tottenham is still due to take place, but could be postponed like the others if further positive COVID-19 cases are reported by one or both of the teams.
