UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to reform the UK’s treason and espionage laws this fall, introducing more significant changes than anytime since 1695. Increased hostilities with Russia and China have prompted the revamp, as the Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliament (ISC) points to purported weaknesses of the country’s espionage laws. The planned reforms hope to bring the UK up to par with the US and Australia by changing how technology and media are regulated. Former UK MP George Galloway weighs in.
