Julian Assange’s partner Stella Moris highlighted the importance of the arguments of Julian Assange’s lawyers in the London Royal Courts as they aim to present counter-arguments amid a hearing on the US appeal of the court’s previous decision not to extradite him is taking place, in London on Wednesday.
On January 4, Judge Vanessa Baraister ruled Assange should not be extradited, saying there’s a great risk that he will commit suicide in US prison.
As WikiLeaks founder, Assange faces criminal charges for publishing classified information. He was arrested by British police on 11 April 2019, after taking refuge at the Ecuadorian embassy for nearly seven years, where he was granted asylum.
