USA: "Biden, we need your help" - hundreds march at "Free Cuba" rally in DC

Hundreds of protesters joined the ‘Free Cuba’ rally in Washington DC on Monday, demanding the US intervention.

One protester stated, “The people here, we just ask for freedom, we don’t want all the system down in Cuba. They say that that we just want food. We just want vaccines. We just want freedom. With the freedom, we are going to resolve all of our problems.”

The crowd marched chanting in Spanish ‘Freedom,’ while waving Cuban and North American flags.

“Biden, we need your help, your intervention, please, do something. Communism is not good for the USA. It’s not good for nobody,” said another protester.

The unrest in Cuba was triggered by the island nation’s worsening economic crisis, record numbers of COVID-19 cases and lack of essential goods.

SOT, Protester: “The people here, we just ask for freedom, we don’t want all the system down in Cuba. They say that that we just want food. We just want vaccines. We just want freedom, with the freedom we are gonna resolve all of our the problems, because we have been 62 years waiting for the freedom. We need the help, please help us.”

SOT, Protester: “Freedom for Cuba. Cuba asks freedom. Free. Please, no more repression, no more dictatorship, no more regime, no more, no more. We need freedom.”

SOT, Protester: “We are here asking for freedom for Cuba, OK? Biden, we need your help, your intervention, please, do something. Communism is not good for USA, it’s not good for nobody, OK? They are a fascist system, OK? (Spanish) Freedom for Cuba. Long live free Cuba.”

SOT, Protester: “We are not asking for money , we are asking for freedom. Biden, we need you and you need us, you need our votes. We are gonna give you, but you, but you need to represent us. Freedom for Cuba. They are murdering, they are killing in the streets. Enough is enough. Freedom for Cuba. Biden, we are here for you and we need you now.”
