Residents flocked to enjoy the snow in the vicinity of the US Capitol Building in Washington DC on Tuesday, as authorities re-opened the grounds for public access.
Families could be seen engaging in snowball fights and sledging down the snow-covered grounds after a ban due to the danger of falling trees was lifted Monday evening.
Last year, the hill was fenced off and winter activities were banned due to security issues after the Capitol Hill insurrection on January 6 and COVID-19 restrictions.
