The New York Comic Con celebrating pop culture finally opened its doors to fans and cosplayers from all over the world inside New York City’s Jacob Javits Center on Thursday, after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

From October 7 to 10, people will be able to attend the venue in person with reduced capacity amid ongoing efforts to avoid COVID-19 infections, in a cautious move to restoring normality.

“It’s much less crowded now. I am thrilled that we can be back here again after last year’s hiatus. It was just a miserable year. Everyone knows that, everyone felt that, but it’s back, and we’re happy,” said Jeremy Stevens, a cosplayer.

The event hosts the latest comics, graphic novels, anime, video games, action figures, movies, and television. Fans will get a chance to finally interact with their favourite creators through panels and signing sessions.
