USA: Cygnus NG-17 blasts off to ISS carrying over 3.5 tonnes of supplies

An ISS-bound Northrop Grumman rocket carrying the uncrewed Cygnus NG-17 cargo ship, containing 8,300 pounds (approx 3.8 tonnes) of supplies, was launched from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia on Saturday.
The spacecraft embarked on its 1.5 day journey at 12:40 local time (17:40 GMT).
Astronauts are scheduled to receive fresh produce including avocados, tomatoes, grapefruits, pears and blueberries, as well as essential cargo.
In addition to delivering goods to the space station, Cygnus is expected to perform the US’ first ISS operational reboot.
