President Joe Biden made an address Monday from the White House concerning the ongoing situation in Afghanistan.

Biden assured that he will be standing behind his decision to continue troop withdrawals from Afghanistan ending the 20-year conflict, as Washington has come under heavy criticism due to the Taliban’s swift take over of the country in the past weeks.

The president also criticised Afghan leaders and the military for not wanting to take responsibility for their own issues and relying too heavily on the US military presence of the last two decades.

The US is set to complete withdrawing its military from Afghanistan by August 31, ending the longest conflict in United States history.
