Kyle Rittenhouse’s defence attorneys petitioned for a mistrial over a piece of video evidence that could be key to the case made by the prosecution, as the jury deliberated for a second day in the murder trial of Rittenhouse in Kenosha on Wednesday.

The defence argued that it was given a video in poor quality compared to what the prosecution had. The drone footage shows an overhead view of the incident in which Rittenhouse killed Joseph Rosenbaum.

The video evidence is crucial to the prosecution’s argument that Rittenhouse provoked the confrontation with Rosenbaum by pointing his rifle at him.

Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse is accused of shooting three men during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, following the police shooting of Jacob Blake, who was left paralysed.

The three victims were Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum, who were killed, and Gaige Grosskreutz, who was seriously wounded.
