USA: NYC's orthodox Jewish community express solidarity with Palestine

An orthodox Jewish community demonstrated in New York City on Sunday to show solidarity with Palestine and protest against the Israeli Defence Forces in light of calls of some politicians in Israel to march to the illegal outpost of Homesh in the West Bank.
People gathered, some carrying Palestinian flags and banners stating that ‘anti-Israel’ should not be equated with ‘anti-Semitism.’
People also held banners mentioning the Neturei Karta, an ultra-Orthodox Jewish group founded in 1938 that rejects Zionism and the State of Israel on religious grounds.

SOT, Yisroel Dovid Weiss, Neturei Karta spokesperson: “For a whim, for a joke, for fun, goes into the neighborhood with IDF shirts. And when they were politely asked to remove it they refuse, they laugh at the suffering of the Palestinians. And who would have believed these politicians, who are supposed to be responsible, who stand up and declare that people should come march in support. If the world would be normal then these politicians and the parents of these children should be taking these kids and putting them in a corner. And they should be coming with flowers and apologizing to the Palestinians for this insensitive act.”
