Hundreds marched in Minneapolis on Saturday to protest the wrongful death of Amir Locke. A SWAT team entered a downtown apartment and killed Locke, a 22-year-old black man who his parents said was “executed”. His father Andre Locke and his aunt were among the protesters.
“He was responsible and he didn’t deserve to have his life taken the way that it was,” said Andre Locke addressed the rally-goers.
Protesters carrying ‘Black Lives Matter’ banners voiced anger over the conduct of law enforcement officers, nearly two years after the murder of George Floyd.
