USA: Rapper Kosha Dillz hosts first-ever "Bald Fest"

A first-ever ‘Bald Fest’ celebration hosted by rapper Kosha Dillz was held in New York City on Monday.
The rapper, whose real name is Rami Matan Even-Esh, held the event at the Rubulad club in Brooklyn on ‘National Bald is Beautiful Day’.
“We focus on the insecurities: whether you’re bald, you don’t have to wear a hat here. You don’t have to get a hair transplant here, you don’t need to take propecia, you don’t need to be skinny, you don’t need to be physically fit on Instagram,” said Even-Esh.
Even-Esh believes that the celebration can be used as a means of joining people of various backgrounds together under one banner.
Going forwards, Even-Esh has proposed that similar ‘Bald Fest’ celebrations can be held as part of festivals around the world.

Also, its coming from dark time, COVID, we also had 9/11, the 20th anniversary of 9/11.”

SOT, Rami Even-Esh, Rapper: “[Inaudible] Right Said Fred, Jeff Ross, Pitbull, Vin Diesel, The Rock, these are very successful people that are bald. You know and some people are voluntarily bald, bald by choice. You know: Dave Batista, Tupac… You know what I mean? Tupac had hair and he also went bald you know, shave his head. So I mean being bald is cool and being bald is funny, and everyone needs to laugh a little bit. So lighten up, if you’re watching this, lighten up. Don’t worry about your hair, you look good, you look beautiful.”

SOT, Rami Even-Esh, Rapper: “People don’t want to go to Coachella, [inaudible] gone to Coachella but how many people went to bald fest? Do you see what I’m saying? How many people went to Glastonbury, ok you went to Glastonbury, but you have been in Bald Fest? Bald Fest can be a component of Glastonbury, Bald Fest can be a component of, you know, the Amsterdam dance festivals. Bald Fest can be a component of festivals in Japan, there’s no bald people in certain countries that people have hair, you know. So this is just something foreign, and interesting, and unique and it’s fun. And, people are traveling, we’ve got people from all over the place. And it’s a great way to bring people who have differences, from different countries together, you know, Jews, Palestinians. You know, Muslims, Christians. You know, everyone bald.”
