Johnson & Johnson paused its quest for a coronavirus vaccine on Tuesday, mere weeks after the company announced it was in the final stage of creating a coronavirus vaccine which was on track to enroll tens of thousands of people. After a study participant fell ill with an unexplained illness, the company announced it will suspend its trial while the participant’s condition is reviewed by internal clinical and safety physicians.
