North Korea’s state broadcaster released this new footage of a ballistic missile test.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un apparently personally oversaw the drill.
The state broadcaster claimed the drill was intended to test “the real war capabilities” of the equipment and troops.

Kim Jong Un frequently features in similar military videos. It’s thought the state broadcaster wants to convey the message that Mr Kim is personally in control of the military. He is often filmed apparently giving instructions to soldiers and officials.

The latest launch footage was released a day after Japan and South Korea reported several North Korean missiles had been fired into the sea.
