A ‘person of interest’ in a mass shooting on an Independence Day parade in Chicago has been arrested and identified as Robert E Crimo III.

Police arrested the 21-year-old man hours after a gunman rained down bullets on a Fourth of July celebration in Highland Park, killing at least six people and injuring 30.

The alleged shooter is a verified Spotify artist, under the pseudonym Awake the Rapper, with one of his music videos set in a school classroom, featuring the sound of gunshots.
