Chaos erupted in UK Parliament when Labour MP Sarah Owen refused to be silenced when making a point of order.

The row had spilled over from earlier in the month when Owen was among a group of Labour MPs told to shut up by a Tory backbencher who they said had failed to declare his property portfolio.

As she spoke, Conservative MPs on the opposite side of the chamber heckled the Shadow Minister for Local Government, telling her to “sit down”.
