Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has forced more than a million people to flee the country.

And while Vladimir Putin shows no sign of agreeing to a ceasefire, his military have instead pressed forward, shelling dozens of towns and locals.

But - with its vastly superior troop numbers and equipment - why hasn’t Russia won its war with Ukraine, more than a week after Putin’s first orders to cross the frontier?
