Nuclear hydrogen production is only part of the EU’s global hydrogen directive. The European Union, following the United States, is taking steps to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and, above all, on natural gas. In these plans, hydrogen plays a major role. The Hydrogen Directive package was presented in December 2021, and the final vote on it took place on February 9.
