Zhurong - the Tianwen-1 rover

The China National Space Administration announced the name of the Tianwen-1 mission’s rover – Zhurong (祝融). According to CNSA, Zhurong is the god of fire in ancient Chinese mythology, which echoes with the Chinese name of Mars, Huoxing - meaning the planet of fire in Chinese. According to He Zhibin (academician of the International Academy of Aeronautics – IAA), Zhurong will land on Mars in May 2021.
