The first launch of the Zol-Janah launch vehicle took place from the Semnan Space Center, Iran, on 1 February 2021. Zol-Janah (ذوالجناح) is a three-stage launch vehicle, with the first two stages powered by solid propellant and the third by liquid propellant. The maiden launch was sub-orbital, but Zol-Janah is designed to launch a 220 kg payload into a 500 km orbit.
