1000 Years, Thanjavur Temple, Speech by Dr.Padma Subramanyam

The UNESCO World Heritage listed Brihadeswara Temple in Thanjavur(Tamil Nadu, India), also known as 'Big Temple', celebrated being 1000 years old. A week-long program was held. On 25.9.2010 evening visitors were treated to a mammoth cultural festival at the temple. Temple musicians from different Siva temples participated and jointly sang devotional items. The highlight, a dance spectacular featuring over 1000 artists, headed by Dr.Padma Subrahmanyam took place. Here are some video clips from this live program telecast by Podhigai.
