Here we will continue to work on our weight sliders and then test them in game. If the model distorts or implodes when in game the weight slider was not done correctly and will need to be redone. Hopefully this will not be an issue for you and it will work flawlessly. You should see the armor scale in size when changing the weight of the character. The armor should match in scale the shape of the body underneath it. You may encounter some clipping which you will have to fix by going back into Autodesk 3ds Max 2012 and making necessary adjustments to the weight slider by moving the vertices on the weight slider further away from the body.
During a previous video we installed an application called Nifskope. The Nifskope application is what we will be using to open and manipulate Nif files. Nif files contain our models data and are used to inform the Skyrim game engine where to locate textures, how the vertices should move with the skeleton and so forth. In short, Nif files are the custom model. We will need to spend a little time setting up the application before we start using it. Anytime you update or reinstall Nifskope you will need to make these changes to the settings so your textures will be visible within Nifskope. Since this model was exported from Autodesk 3ds Max 2012 using Niftools 3.7.3, we will have to fix the BSLightingShader property in order to get rid of the green texture we are seeing in game.
