18x18 P Moss

The 18b Las Vegas Arts District introduced a speaker series featuring local creative professionals in and around the Arts District and Las Vegas as a whole. The presenters for the May 2014, 18 x 18 speaker series were Lucky Wenzel, Paul Rosenberg, PJ Perez, Mikayla Whitmore, B. McCormick, Curtis Walker, and P Moss. The presenters for the inaugural event featuring the Pioneers of the Arts District were: Lisa Stamanis, Eric Strain, Richard Hooke,r Michael Wardle, Ginger Bruner, Jerry Misko, James Stanford, Kathleen Nathan, and Fred Sigman. With support from Marc Abelman of Inside Style and Amanda Harris of The Amanda Harris Gallery of Contemporary Art, the event was organized by Kirsten Clarke, volunteer with 18b. The focus of the event is: -Community connectivity. -Providing local artists, designers, and community leaders the opportunity to showcase projects they are passionate about. -Celebrating local talent. -Bringing awareness to the Arts District and the arts community as a whole. -Sparking conversations about issues around art and design in the city. The format of the speaker series is inspired by the international Pecha Kucha 20×20 events, but with an 18b twist. Each presenter will talk about 18 slides, with a time limit of 18 seconds per slide.
